VeraSun Energy Corporation and Ford Motor Company have officially opened a new Midwest Ethanol Corridor. According to a VeraSun release, the corridor will increase the availability of VE85″, VeraSun’s branded E85, with the addition of 14 new retail locations along I-55 in Illinois. VeraSun’s branded E85 fuel, VE85″, is now available at more than 70 retail locations across the Midwest, including nearly 40 in Illinois.

I CAN’T FIND A FORNICATING THING ON E85′S AVAILABILITY!!?? I KNOW IT’S MORE A MID-WEST THING.HOWEVER I DON’T LIVE OUT WEST!IS THERE AVAILABILITY ON THE EASTERN SEA BOARD???? HOW ABOUT A MAP SHOWING LOCATIONS??LASTLY,.. WHAT’S INVOLVED IN OUTFITTING YOUR OTHERWISE GAS USING VEHICLE?? IWAS ITERESTED IN CONVERTING MY MUSCLE CARS OVER FOR OCTANE PURPOSES.100 OCT. IV’E HEARD.HOW MUCH A GALLON????THANX!!!

A map of E85 locations can be found at e85fuel.com. Converting vehicles can be done - try Flex Tek at xcelplus.com. Also, check the post about tuning fast cars to run faster on ethanol http://domesticfuel.com/?p=631. As for how much a gallon - no one seems to have a clear answer on that and it varies from day to day and place to place.
