Full Flex Fuel Facts
Got a call today from FullFlex USA, a company in Idaho that sells a conversion system to make most any car a flex-fuel vehicle. Seems they saw the post on Flex Tek we did a while back (see previous post) and thought I might be interested in doing an interview about their system – and I was.
According to their website, “FULLFLEX GOLD Bi-Fuel Manager works with microprocessors that automatically adapt to your fuel system requirements. There is no polarity concern with Fullflex. The computer system calculates a ultra fine adjustment which may increase fuel economy and better performance for your vehicle.”
President and CFO Alex Conger owns this bright yellow Hummer, named “Ethyl,” that runs on 98 percent ethanol using the FullFlex system and he says he actually gets better fuel mileage with ethanol using the system than with regular gasoline!
You can listen to my interview with Alex here:
Full Flex Interview (9 min MP3)
You can also see a video of Alex and Ethyl on their website, or from this YouTube link.
Alex doesn’t quote a price for the Full Flex system in the interview, saying that he would rather people would call so that he can find out exactly what vehicle they have and what their needs are. The toll free number is 866-568-3617 and the website is FullFlexInt.com. There is an on-line store with various models which range from about $420 to $700, depending on the vehicle type – monopoint, multipoint, throttle body injector, five cylinder, etc.

Full Flex gets a 9 minute interview, and Flextek get a truncated 7.5 minutes??
Chad
Isn’t it odd how Full Flex is claiming it has been in Brazil for 20 years, as does Flextek who is working with the patent holder from Brazil.
Cindy
Actually, it was the FullFlex interview that was “truncated.” It was cut down by a full four minutes.
Besides, we’re not bound by equal time/space here, friends. And neither one of these companies have bought any advertising here. If you want more space, that can be arranged. Our advertising rates are very reasonable.
Cindy
Makes sense to me. Competition makes a healthy marketplace. The consumer should have choices.
Joe
The main difference between the 2 is simple. Flextek is owned by an American company that has a full R and D department and is also getting their product tested by U of Minnesota Mankato to become EPA approved. FullFlexint is the North American distributor of FullFlex. All FFI has to go by is what the Brazil company says and the testing of only one vehicle, The president’s own!

I am currently driving with a FullFlex on my 2005 Pontiac Sunfire here in Dallas and I love it. We recently got E85 in our city and the first time I went to fill up the manager told me I could not use the gas. So I went ahead and shoved the pump into my car and he stood in aww. I showed him my FullFlex unit and he was amazed, he asked me if i could still run on gas with the FullFlex on and I told him yes and he said where the switch is and I said there is no switch it calibrates on its own. I have pictures if needed. I want everyone to know this thing is great.
Jimmy
FYI: There is a second US vendor selling this product:

Joe
What about the fact that it isn’t automatic and actually shrinks the parameters of the fuel entering the injectors. The only way they claim to be automatic is because the product is set to use 10% more when using gas than ideal and 10% less than ideal when using E85 therefore not getting the ideal setting using either fuel
Keith
I recently purchased and installed a FullFlex unit on my 2003 Ford Windstar. It was easy to install and works well. My decision in purchasing this unit is because my wife is the primary driver of the vehicle and does not want to have to do the math to figure out the percentage of gas/ethanol then decide which position to have the switch in.
Also, the techical support provided before and after the purchase of my unit was superb. Before purchase, Alex graciously spent an accumulation of more then 2 hours discussing my vehicle, how the unit works, and what to expect. When I tried to do this with Flextech, I basically got “it works, buy the unit” and oh by the way that their competitor (FullFlex) sucks.
After purchase, I received several follow up calls to be sure that I am happy and that the unit is working correctly.
In my book, when all other things are equal, the person with the best support wins.
I am completely satisfied with my FullFlex purchase, and plan to purchase more for future vehicles.

Dear Sirs, In Brazil, the user can choose with any amount of gasoline or alcohol that he/she wishes. E85 does not exist; instead you can choose 100% Ethanol or 100% gas and anything in between. WCV Tools has the pleasure to manufacture the best product in the market in our opinion and is actively marketing this product in the Brazil, USA and currently worldwide, we offer unsurpassed product service and support. Our product is automatic in Brazil and automatic in the USA. Thank you USA, Thank you FullFlex International!
Joe
LOL Keith, Its Flextek not Flextech Nice try. Ask why Fullflex hasn’t figured out how to keep the check engine light from coming on in Jeeps,Dodge, and Chrysler. One of the few problems that Flextek has already solved
Keith
I don’t own a Dodge, Jeep, or Chrysler. However if I did, from my experience with FullFlex I have full confidence in their abilities.
They turned off my check engine light…that is all I care about.
FlexteK wouldn’t give me the time of day, so they won’t get my business.
Elizabeth
I have a Fullflex Gold on my 91 Toyota Camry and I absolutely love it.
Unfortunatly I cannot say how well it works with gasoline because I have only used E85 for the two months that I have owned it and wow does my car run great. I was walked through the installation by Alex and was done in 20 minutes/he stayed on the phone with me through the whole process and with great patience.I have yet to have a problem since but did not change my fuel filter as of yet do you think I should on my next oil change?
Fred Bown
I have a fullflex on my 2002 GMC pickup with a vortec 4.3 engine. I love the option to be able to set the unit to your application. I own and operate a garage and am a master ASE and ford master tech. I have been a mechanic for 30 years and I am very pleased with fullflex. They have a wonderfull tech line to can go to for help. When you buy this unit they make sure it works. Dan Lorenzo is a very smart tech and very helpfull.I ordered one for a 1999 ford escort with a 2.0 engine today. Ethanol is the way to go, use american fuel, not foriegn fuel.
Marcelo
I would Like to know because the flextek left more than 200 companies without receiving the money that the flextek owed, here in the brasil, supplies of water, electric power, telephone and other several suppliers
James Hygate
We have been involved in the biofuel industry for the past 10 years within Europe. We have mainly concentrated on biodiesel production but have recently moved into bioethanol. Part of this process has been to evaluate the various flex fuel systems available. The result of this study is that we are now marketing the FullFlex system. This is mainly due to the following reasons. Firstly, the ability to run smoothly on a varying blend without switching is preferential in Europe where E85 is not widely available. Also the switch from petrol to ethanol is harmonised and therefore does not negatively effect the fuel consumption during the switch over. Also when running on E85 FullFlex seems to have mastered the correct fuel usage for the E85 bandwidth and therefore appears to run at a greater efficiency to other systems, i.e. the vehicle does not run over rich so there is only a reduction in fuel consumption at the rate expected due to the additional flow rate to injectors required to run E85.
Like I mentioned this is the basis of our impartial study undertaken when selecting whcih product to market. When you are looking at which product to buy initial capital costs are within reason irrelevant, ease of use and efficiency are key. FullFlex provides the best of both.
Steve D.
I use the FullFlex unit on my 2002 Cavalier and it runs great. It is fully automatic so mixing gasoline with E85 is not a problem. Since getting this unit I usually put in E85, but it has had gasoline too and you would never notice the difference. Dan Lorenzo gives excellent tech support, more than one would expect. I would not hesitate in telling folks to buy one, it give you commuting options that gas only cars don’t have. Go yellow!
Paul
My car works wonderful with my full flex gold converter. With the ethanol system to make ethanol and the full flex converter my car runs great and I am saving big money. Making and burning my own fuel.
I have never dreamed it could be true!
Thank You Fullflex
Joe
I would just like to say that the 3 or 4 consumers that have used this product congrats that it works for you. As far as Marcelo, when someones ECU shorts out because of your product are you going to cover th Bill. Beside the 3 consumers that posted on this board, the rest is companies that sell the Fullflex and are trying to make money like the UK company. The Flextek refuses to have other companie resell their product for a profit. The only ones that can sell the Flextek are Brick and Morter companies that require an ASME tech install the product. The Flextek is all about protecting the consumer hense all the testing being done by the company. Fullflex is just in it for the quick buck before the get shut down. This is my opinion
Alphonse
If we’re going to replace gas guzzling with ethanol guzzling, expect ethanol to get a big fat black eye with people who care about national security and the environment. We need to get off this fuel-guzzling gluttony once and for all and just cut it out. It’s ridiculously wasteful and limites energy options for future generations, even our own!
Mike W.
I was greatfully taken care of by Alex and Dan, I have a 1992 Ford Explorer and had started running E-85 about 2 months ago. I have had no problems with the unit. I will say that with the richer settings you see alot more power….. Thank you Alex and Dan, I’m glad to be affiliated with you guys…. By the way I had told Dan that I will have met you guys by 4-27-07…

When I introduced us to Domestic Fuel my intentions were to let people know that there is a movement starting and it’s not stopping it’s called the Alternative Fuel Movement. First of all Joe FFI did not start this Chad did, he was upset at the difference in interview times which is not under our control and can only be controlled by our gracious host Domestic Fuel. There are over 148 million cars on the road in the United States alone instead of squabbling over an article you should be selling. I know just like you know the people will make the decision on what product to choose, all we can do is educate and help them find the answers they need. You should do the same for your clients and if you do then that’s great. You say we are here for the money, well if that is the case what are you in it for? The last time I checked Flex Tek was not free and if I am not mistaken you are more expensive than we are. You know today I spent the day at the VA hospital talking to Veterans, Americans like you and I. Doesn’t it bother you that we are fighting a war over a dependency of oil and other resources and that it would help the American people to be able to be energy independent like our neighbors to the south. After today there will be no more responses from our customers and anyone else from FFI, One it’s not fair to our host and it’s not fair to the people who are trying to be informed about Alternative fuels and about saving our planet from global warming. So Cindy I owe you an apology for this, had I’d known this would start an argument verses an in depth discussion on how we could create more awareness I would not have called. So Joe, Bill, and Chad if you would like to keep on sparring with us you will be doing it alone. Once again I would like to thank Domestic Fuels and would like to thank all those who responded in kind to share your experience with Full flex Gold. God Bless

[...] Flex-Tek and Full Flex, competing E85 conversion kits, are having a little war on Domestic Fuel. (see previous post comments) For the sake of transparency, readers should be aware that Full Flex asked their satisfied customers to comment on the post about the interview I did with them. [...]
Joe
FWIW Curtis, I do not work for the company. I want to see Ethanol be a main stay here in the US. I like the Flextek and what that company is doing because the number 1 thing in my heart is to support U.S. companies and Flextek is owned by an American company! Good luck with you and FullFlex as I hope the competition heats up as that means the U.S. is moving to get off Foreign Oil
Chad
The interview times were no big deal, just the first thing I noticed, thought it might produce a laugh.
But on a serious note, your right Curtis I did start this because I think people need to know.
For all of you that are using the Full Flex unit, as it was mentioned before by Joe this is not an ‘automatic’ system. During the install at any time did you connect your Full Flex unit to the Electronic Control Module (ECM or ECUnit), an oxygen sensor, or put a sensor on the fuel line? If you did not then there is no way for the Full Flex system to know the ratio of what you are burning. By hooking up to the injector the Full Flex system never comes in direct contact with the fuel at all. Unless there is a new version of the Full Flex unit this is the case. Flextek however currently has a switch to turn the unit on (ethanol) and off (gasoline), and they are currently working on a unit that uses a signal from the oxygen sensor to adjust fuel to air ratio. Without this, or some other type of engineering the system cannot operate automatically by being connected to the injectors only. Again as Joe said this creates a scenario where the injector is ‘set’ at a happy medium and does not change which works good enough to sell because most do not know better, so when running on ethanol you are not getting the ‘full’ benefit of the octane rating, and when running on gas you are running ‘rich’ which means wasting gas, fouled out plugs, faint black smoke from the exhaust.
Kurt
Great article.. Has to be the best in a while.. keep up the comments.
Jimmy
It would be nice if more technical details about these products were available.
To my understanding, the FlexTek unit does nothing when switched to “Gasolina” mode, and when switched to “Alcool” it proportionally lengthens the injector pulse width, adding more fuel but still allowing the stock ECU to work as normal. Now, I came to this understanding via Internet research and not because FlexTek told me anything. I could also be wrong.
I don’t really understand how the FullFlex unit works. I don’t doubt that it does work.. it’s just I’m a geek and like to know what the little black box does :)
Daniel Lorenzo
Is this a fact… you will be coming out with new technology that will far surpass your original unit?
Thats really good that you are proactive in telling your users that your existing product will soon have new technology good post thanks again!
I will tell everyone that you have new technology coming!
Your new technology sounds great please keep up the good work hope to see it in the marketplace soon!!
I become very happy when I hear my competition states new technology is being released.
You have one switch gas or not with one fuel mapping possibility you will greatly benefit from the new technology that you plan to release.
We have several different fuel maps programmed into our units and not a need for new technology at this time.
Our units will remain the same until we have a need to plug and play as an add on for our users this was already engineered into Fullflex. Our user will be able to upgrade without buying a whole new unit.
We also have a programmable WCV 500 that has been on the market for many years, this allows the user to program any fuel map that they choose it will be hitting the websites soon.this is our old technology but have had a large demand from our Hot Rodders so we bring to you.
Have you seen the WCV 500 I do not recommend for all users because this is old Technology and will be greatly used by our racing users. Our old tecnology allows the user 25 settings from 3% to as much as 50% pulse width increase and is not automatic but fun for the racing enthusiast. All we have at this time is our own new technology.
I can only hope your new technology is well under way in the development state and I am very ecited and pleased you chose this Forum to release the news of new technology is on the way!
I will post this on My Ebay store for free if you like. I will also put your release on our corpoarate site stating new technology at your company. I will even link to your site For free!! thank you once again

Full Flex Gold is the only totally automatic and programmable manager. Why? Because he receives already existing information inside the ECU of the vehicle, and together this information the software that comes installed inside the manager creates new parameters and calculations, accomplishing thus time and the fuel injection correct volume (gasoline or ethanol) used in the vehicle. Because of this there is no need to keys selectors to choose fuel.
Chad
Vehicles that were not designed to be an FFV from the factory do not have the technology to adapt when filled with ethanol with or without a Flextek, Full Flex, or Flex Tune. The information these boxes receive, and the ONLY information they receive from the ECU by way of the fuel injector connection, is the pulse width, or the amount of time the injector stays open do to many factors such as the throttle body position.
A fuel injector is nothing more than a fancy electromagnet, or solenoid that opens when energized, and closes when it is not energized, and can open and close very quickly. When the ECU sends the signal to open to the injector it doesn’t know what the fuel is it just opens. So when you install the ‘adapter,’ and fill up with E85 it increases the pulse width, or time that the injector stays open so more ethanol can be introduced. The ‘adapter’ itself does not know what fuel is being used; its design is the change the pulse width, which is different for ethanol and gas. There are only two wires in the connectors on the injector, one is positive (+), and the other is ground, or negative (-). I wish I could make it more plain and simple that these units cannot, and will not function automatically until they are hooked up to more than the two wires going to the injectors. The box would have to ‘know’ what fuel is being used to appropriately deliver the proper amount of ethanol or gasoline. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/fuel-injection.htm

Chad do you have a fullflex?
Chad
Sorry I didn’t know there was a question waiting for me.
What does that matter? So what if I do have one? Are you going to ask me if I am happy with it? What if I don’t have one, are you going to ask me how I know what I am saying?
Look at the info on your own website:
“*NOTE 2: FullFlex Gold offers several different fuel map settings, We refer to FullFlex Gold as automatic because once the fuel map that best suits your vehicle is selected by the user, there is no need for further setting changes. This process only takes minutes to do and we will walk you through this simple adjustment.”
Just breaking down the idiosyncratic use of automatic, in other words, as I’ve said before, you have to find the ‘happy’ medium for your particular vehicle by changing the fuel maps.
Chad
Something else you might want to point out to your customers is that ethanol is damaging to non-factory FFVs. Because there is a close association between ethanol and acetic and formic acids, if you do not properly chemically treat your engine, and fuel system before using ethanol they will corrode. You will also need to change your fuel filter because of the ‘cleaning’ properties of ethanol which will clear ‘gunk’ out of your fuel tank and fuel lines which will clog fuel filters. Moreover, you may have problems with your fuel pump if it is not ethanol compatible which can be an expensive problem.
Whom, might you ask offers engine treatments for non-factory FFVs for use with ethanol? Try flextek.com, and xcelplus.com. They have chemical engine treatments mentioned above that have been in existence since 1975, and have been tested and proven by several state and federal agencies.

Dan McCullough
Chad the idea you need a special additive is not correct ..Ethanol as it is does not form acids..the only time acids is formed is if water is present.
Using any synthetic oil offers protection, no need to spend on any additives that require you to drive 2000 miles on gasoline (with their additive) (thats a year for some people)before you use ethanol as Flexteks additive requires .
(From Flexteks website) This technology helps reduce & eliminate problems commonly associated with E85 fuel, such as cold starting, corrosion, and fuel economy.
You must drive at least 2000 miles before switching from gasoline to E85!
I own and use FlexTek..it’s “ok” but my search engine light goes off all the time when the engine is under different loads .
For me it isnt a big deal.I dont mind playing around with it but the average consumer wont put up with it . I was told by the old owners that they had a “fix” for my truck and would send me a new unit but it never arrived as Xcelplus purchased Flextek
The problem with Flextek is it is either ON or Off 30% more fuel or not 30% more fuel..
The Fullflex models give more range options and switch automatically … Both convertors operate basically the same but Flextk only has 2 fuel percentage options … Fullflex automatically sends the best percentage of fuel whether it be 5% %15 or %30
I havent tested the FullFlex but the concept sounds strong and I know others that use it and are happy with it.
It is good to hear that Xcelplus is working on improving their model

Joe
First of all Dan. There is no extra charge for the treatment as it is included in the price. Second of all, why wouldn’t you use a treatment formula that was tested and proved by the Department of Energy, Nasa, Army, Etc. to increase milage and protect engines.
Some of your messages about flextek…
“I have a new issue Jeremy .. the light came back on ..so I pulled the negative cable and put the flextek switch on “G” …now idle is smooth and no light for 2 days .. ? I dont know whats going on .. I still have over a half tank and mostly E85 … I’m going to go add even more e85 this afternoon .if the light comes on I’ll switch over to “A” and see what happens..
any possible chance they have the Flextek set-up backwards? “A” is actually “G” and vis versa ? ”
“Apparently I cant read a switch ..
Thick side up is “on”
Bottom line ..Flextek is working like a charm .. very relieved and very happy”
The general public will not be putting the Flextek or any other brand under the loads you are putting on it. You pump the installation on your site. The only one on your site that talks about the fullflex has said he keeps trying different settings to try and get the thing to work right
Joe
I know. You Dan are upset that Flextek refuses to pay you any money to advertise on your site. LOL
Joe
One more link from one of your biggest posters. He talks in detail how the engine treatment works…http://e85vehicles.com/e85/index.php?topic=111.0
Chad
Then why are there special coatings and materials used on factory production FFVs? Hmm, I wonder why.
Ethanol can have adverse effects on materials that gasoline would not. Brass, zinc, lead, and aluminum will all degrade when exposed to a strong alcohol like ethanol.
Ethanol is more conductive than gasoline and will act as an electrolyte causing galvanic corrosion in the fuel system. This means that if you have two dissimilar materials meeting, like a steel fuel line connected to an aluminum fuel rail, the conductive ethanol will cause material to be removed from one surface and deposited on the other. This can end up clogging fuel injectors with metal. Ethanol is hydroscopic so there is always some level of dihydrogen oxide present.
Moreover, if someone takes a year to drive 2000 miles there is no reason for them to switch to ethanol since there would be no cost benefit anyway.
Depending on the vehicle if they could drive approx. 400 miles on a tank they would only fill up 5 times. For me 5 X $50 = less than a converter. It would take two years spending on gas to rack up to the cost of a converter, which if I remember correctly is one of your main gripes. Too $$$ for converter.
Telling someone they do not need to do anything to their vehicle is just bad business.
Try another one please that was fun.
Viviane
Sincerely already I discovered for real of some people in this site:
Envy, and much preoccupation, because there are better products than another sells her!
When something inconveniences, the first reaction that we have is to attack, only thus perhaps decreases a little inconvenience it!
FullFlex congratulations, you really demonstrate be best, not by the fact of the bi-fuel converter, but by the simple fact of not carrying in foolish account discussions, letting clear the maturity and the confidence in your product.
Viviane
Correction: Better not only by the bi-fuel, but by your position before all the comments.
Chad
In how you discuss your idea here is not the case at stake. It is the millions of dollars of consumer’s money in their vehicle investments. Just trying to educate one at a time, if I have only reached one, or have yet to reach one through this page, then it has done the job. The high or low road is not the moral decision here, it is the gains or losses, in the preparedness, or lack there of, in the use of a product.
Daniel Lorenzo
Hey Dan McCullough,
Would you like a Fullflex Gold I would surely like to get you one. But you must promise that you give an unbiased performance report in every forum as to how the two products work. I may seem a little cockey but I know that the Fullflex Gold will blow the competition out of the water. We have sold numerous units to the competitions customers due to the fact that they just don’t work, I feel very bad that there are actually people out there being duped into buying snake oil and converters that simply don’t work. Many customer who have bought other units are still waiting for their refunds as they drive on Fullflex Gold. I hear on a daily basis angry consumers who were tricked into buying something that does not perform and I am now seeing the market become spoiled due to products that do not even hold a candle to Fullflex Gold. We own the market and the bragging rights for complete customer satisfaction. So Dan when you are ready to get that check engine light off I will be happy to provide you with a Fullflex Gold as so you can see how these are truly supposed to work.
Joe
“We have sold numerous units to the competitions customers due to the fact that they just don’t work”
According to your Ebay store that you can get to by going to http://www.fullflexgold.com shows that you have sold only one. LOL

Thats funny Joe I only use the ebay store as to send customers to my corporate site, Thanks for the plug my little ebay store eclipses your website c’mon it’s hot right I mean an ebay store with live video and links to warranty companies that write our product admit it that store rocks right Joe. I also know why your product has done so poorly in the testing.I heard it straight from the horses mouth. Mankato is a big place Joe they are testing every product on the market that does what products like Fullflex Gold does. Do you want to know who is winning the race? Really if there was a contest on ebay stores I would surley win with that. This Ebay store is pure HOT NESS!!! every time I see it my heart skips a beat, there is also a link to this site as well.I only get about 800 to 1000 hits a day there do you think I should buy keywords… nah I like it just the way it is. Go ebay http://www.fullflexgold.com when your main website is half as good as my ebay store I will continue this discussion LOL silly little website you got. You guys are so cute.

Actually I’m suprised Alex would even want you on the team Dan. Lies will get you in trouble my friend. Hey how about the names of all the agencies you say are testing the FullFlex. I would like to contact them and find out myself LOL. I got a confirmed Email from director Bruce Jones of MCar stating that the Flextek was the only one getting tested.
Alex you should be proud to have such a con man working for ya. He will help get you shut down.

Hey kids I did change my user name on Ebay when I became incorporated I was quite proud that day all my hard work and efforts in the Ethanol industry has paid off but dont worry the only change was the name all else is the same just sold multiple units to some company in Australia call em up you got the number LOL
Daniel Lorenzo
Hey boys I saw your product on T.V. the other day some guy in SD… was he selling your flextek or was he selling the flextune I could not tell looked like he had both. he said your product was Illegal??? but he would sell anyway. I would call him if I were you to make sure that there is no conflict of interest. All our dealers sell only the best of the best and that would be “Fullflex Gold” world wide market leader. Australia!!! Germany UK Sweden France Africa Ireland India Brazil America sure hope all those guys are not wrong for choosing us most of them had your product first, why did they switch to us…oh yeah I remember
ours is better cant blame them for making that choice can you. for future reference do not tell me your business contacts I will only send them a free unit and take them away as well O.K.
LOL
I want to thank you for all the publicity that you have brought to my Ebay store http://www.fullflexgold.com I had a spike in visits and I credit that to you.
Chad
Dan,
Have you started paying your royalties to XPGH? http://www.xcelplusglobal.com All the ‘deals’ you mention sure sound a lot like the deals Xcelplus has lined up. http://www.xcelplus.com
And by the way the report you saw about legality, would also include your unit since none of them have been EPA approved. But there is one that is working toward EPA approval, by request of the EPA with the State of MN, and Gov. Pawlenty. Just so everyone knows it would be FlexTek. http://www.flextek.com
Vic
Very interesting discussion here. I got out of selling Flex Tek when the Abcesso guy swiped the technology. Did you know that yellow Hummer was first equiped with a Flex Tek? Is it possible he opened the box to find out how it worked? Anyhoo, No one is EPA approved and most likley will not be.
Vic
The tests we had on the Flex Tek indicated an huge increase in carbon dioxide emissions. I plan on getting back into the ethanol conversion business. However, right now I’m enjoying watching everyones growing pains. Oh yea… retail on the 4 cyl Flex Tek was $238.00. Thats without the snake oil of course.

Yes Daniel I’d be more than happy to review your FullFlex .
I’ll need to test it for a few weeks before I write up the reviews. I’ll be testing cold starts.
Off and on loads .. as in heater on heater off , pulling a small trash trailer testing for rich/lean codes – check engine light .
And of course general running conditions.
I’ll post a review here on Cindy’s site , on my E85Vehicles and on E85forum.
If it dosent work correctly I will point out any issues .

Hello Norm how have you been. I am very sorry that you could not meet the requirements of becoming a Fullflex dealer. To bad you find a need to bash our company. How is your mechanic shop doing I wish you the best. Since our last discussions I have given up the mobile consultant business, I no longer assist the dealerships in diagnostics and have focused fully on Fullflex Gold. Our company is thriving on the honesty Integrity and Good faith that will bring us and http://www.fullflexint.com into being the inevitable market leader. Norm tell your wife Hiedi that we are very sorry that the two of you could not be dealers for our product but surely you could distribute for another conversion company and we will be happy to meet at the next ethanol convention.

Dan,
Glad to hear that Fullflexint is being led by honest people. No one can say that about your competitors. Looks like the next few years will be great for the ethanol industry as a whole and someone will realize that these products are needed to solve the chicken and egg dilema. Wish you and the others at FFI the happiest of holidays.

Bush’s Call Answered By Full Flex Gold As It Offers To Help Every Car Or Truck Owner Do Their Part To Stop Global Warming
Moving from gas to E85 takes just minutes.
For Immediate Release
MERIDIAN, Idaho/EWORLDWIRE/Jan 23, 2007 — With global warming and the rising cost of oil on Americans minds, Meridian, Idaho-based Full Flex International (FFI) got its creative wheels spinning in its race to find an efficient and safe method to help people with their current vehicles enjoy the benefits of running on E85 in a matter of minutes. The FFI conversion kit works with the vehicle’s onboard ECU as well as its own microprocessors and automatically adapts to fuel system requirements. The Full Flex converter gives users the choice of using gas or E85 anytime they would like to – without the hassle of pushing buttons or flipping any switches. The installation is simple and quick. It does not alter the vehicle’s originality, it can be removed at any time, without damaging the engine.
FFI is proud to report that it is now the only 2007 OBD 2 Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) -compliant Ethanol conversion kit in the United States. The process that brought FFI into leading the industry and becoming compliant with the EPA was a great learning process. While completing the testing at Colorado State University’s EPA test facility, FFI teams of engineers in America as well as in Brazil worked diligently with a primary goal to meet the requirements set in place by the EPA to make sure it was helping and not hurting the environment.
FFI is led by Alex Conger, Curtis Lacy and ASE-certified technician Dan Lorenzo. Lorenzo is highly qualified to deal with and solve any problem in the area of automotive repair and diagnosis submitted by telephone, e-mail or by fax. Conger and Lacy have extensive backgrounds in marketing and customer service and are responsible for developing support materials and day-to-day management of the company. FFI’s highly qualified staff helps all customers receive a better understanding of the Full Flex Gold converter and its operation.
Ethanol is no longer confined to only being used by high performance sprint cars and hybrids – but now can be driven by the vehicles everyone has in their driveways, all due to the Full Flex Gold. Dan Lorenzo ….Lead American engineer for the product Fullflex Gold has devised a bigger better Ethanol conversion kit named ECO-FLEX. The reason for this new design was to develop a better, faster, more responsive ethanol conversion kit that would retail for a lower cost. As lead Engineer for the product Fullflex gold Dan Lorenzo was the prevailing Technician that allowed this product to actually work and run within the parameters necessary to achieve the EPA compliance.
Dan Lorenzo is the Lead Engineer documented on the EPA forms for the product Fullflex Gold…… He found that by using the old analog technology that the performance would be inferior and the cost of this device to the public was far too expensive . By choosing a digital unit that could be developed at a much lesser price, Not only could allow better performance to the vehicle but also allow less of a loss of fuel mileage when using ethanol. It has been documented that a loss of 10% fuel economy was found when using this digital technology and ethanol and a transparent fuel mileage when using gasoline.
This new digital technology is currently being sold world wide with great response from the public.
Dan Lorenzo, CEO of Xpertech Automotive Inc. will continue developing quality products to better serve the American and other countries in this time and need to become less dependant on foreign fuels.

I installed a FlexTek converter on my 2002 Silverado Chevrolet last year. The system works great! I live in Colorado where the weather can go from hot to very cold in a short time, still no problem.
The problem came after about 3000 miles when the fuel pump failed. A new fuel pump ($616) was installed and 2000 miles later it had lost about 10% of its specified pressure. Since $600 makes ethanol very expensive; I have returned to gasoline (sad). I have asked each of the suppliers of these converters if they had any suggestions to correct the fuel pump problem—both were deadly silent. I looks to me they both are in this for the quick Buck without concern for their customers.

Rodger,
I am sorry, But I have not recieved an email from you or a phone call on your situation. I do although agree with you on the fact that most are in it for the quick Buck.
The problem you state would be the second fuel pump failure that I have seen in the 1000′s of ethanol conversions that I have assisted on. I encourage you to call my toll free number 1-800-376-6380 I have posted time and again that I will assist in any diagnostic problem that any consumer has…..I will also assist you with any issues that you have even if you no longer use a conversion kit. I have the potential to assist any problem over the phone.I would like to know how many miles your vehicles fuel pump had before the failure. A fuel pump on your vehicle could fail at about 60,000 miles without ever using ethanol.is rare that they would go that soon but happens often. I have worked as a GM technician for many years and have seen fuel pupms go at any mileage.
Pleaswe call I can assist.

FlexTek’s unit caused a lot of problems with my Ford Focus. It even ruined the catalytic converter since it made the car run so rich it was dumping raw fuel into the exhaust. This was even when it was turned off! I have gotten rid of the FlexTek unit. It’s garbage. I’ve also had a lot of problems with the owners of FlexTek. If you want your car to run E85, get it re-chipped.

I have been doing a lot of research lately on these flex fuel after-market conversion kits. The one company that I noticed that really popped out from the crowd was Flex Fuel U.S. They were the only company with an ACTUALLY EPA certified kit. Many of these companies have been claiming they have “EPA OBD approval”, this is actually just the first step in a long line of steps to EPA Certification. So I would not trust any of these people making claims.
