Interamerican Ethanol Launch

Interamerican Ethanol The launch of an international trade organization for ethanol will take place Monday in Coral Gables, Florida.

The Interamerican Ethanol Commission will be launched with a breakfast and press conference featuring Florida Governor Jeb Bush, Inter-American Development Bank president Luis Alberto Moreno and Roberto Rodrigues, a former Brazilian Minister of Agriculture who is now president of the Superior Council of Agribusiness, FIESP in Sao Paulo.

According to a Dow Jones report, the three will sign a protocol of intentions to build an ethanol research and development think tank “somewhere in the Americas.”

The new venture is being coordinated by Florida FTAA (Free Trade Area of the Americas), an organization of Florida governmental and corporate leaders with the goal of increasing cooperative trade between the U.S. and countries of Latin America.

During the launch event on Monday morning, the Indy Racing League and the Ethanol Promotion and Information Council will be recognized with a special award for their efforts on behalf of ethanol.

I live in Coral Gables and am Fund Manager for the Renewable Energy Fund, which holds positions in most (if not all) publicly traded ethanol producers and some private producers as well. What time is the event and how can I get in?

The event begins at 9 am at the Biltmore hotel. It is being coordinated by Florida FTAA, but at this point your best bet would be to just show up. cz

America will move forward with this kind of leadership. I am trying to form a Triad with an Eastern European Company with a proven cellulose/ethonol process that is efficient and economical.

I would hope to start off using rice crop
    by products in Arbuckle California.

I hope to have one company do the permitting, legal work and coordinate financing, and do it with Partnerships.

There is a Technical Clearing House in Finland that offers leads for this kind of willing partnership.

Here are some more ideas. I. Ishihara, thOita University, Japan has a H-ZSM-5 tube and powder which functions both as catlyst and dehydration, eliminating the need for distillation and producing high yield.

Vividh Chaturvedi, Mitsui Co. has a Zeolite Membrane which was developed by Bio-Nanotec Research Institute of Japan. It does molecular seperation without azeotropic distallation or a molecular siefve.

Tthe Institute de Quimica, Universidade Estadual Paulista, in Sao Paulo has found some Saccharomyces yiest strains which will tolerate more than the 20% ethanol of other strains. This means higher yield.

Also, don’t forget our new partner in Florida, Dyadic, who have some new beta-cellulose breaking enzymes all ready for use. Starch has alpha acetal, while cellulose has beta.

All these could refine existing systems which take too much energy in production.
