The General Motors Police Package Tahoe was featured and demonstrated to the crowd at the grand opening of a new E85 station in Georgia on May 1. The Fillers/Chevron facility is the seventh E85 site to open in the state, according to the National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition.
Middle Georgia Clean Cities Coalition Executive Director Charise Stephens said, “Our goal is to have General Motors E85 Police Tahoe in each of our counties and the fuel to sustain the program. Currently Middle Georgia has more biofuel stations than any other part of the state and we look forward to having the first E85 Police fleets in the state.”

The occasion was the opening of the seventh ethanol station in Georgia, and the police were there with an E85 Police Tahoe, which will soon be much easier to spot in Georgia (except when they sit and wait in speed traps). with the millions of cars presently on the road today and I know it is possible to run current engines with a max blend of 10% ethanol. I understand that a blend of ethanol greater that the 10% would cause corrosion. Correct me If I was misinformed,that stainless steel fuel lines replaced to the engine is one factor in preventing corrosion. Are there any other methods/conversion that can be made if so, what are they and would the cost be reasonable or very expensive. If there is some sort of conversion kit is it available on the market today? I know there are many back yard mechanic,s that would be very interested to get this information if it exist,s
