Jim,

There are a number of fleet users here in the northeast with experience running B5-B10 through a range of weather conditions, including public works trucks, garbage trucks, fire engines, school buses even the Air National Guard, where the vehicles tend to get up there age wise. Have noticed over eh last three years the engine/component manufacturers are slowly changing their tune in putting the dear of god concerning the effect of biofuels. Keep in mind that generally they will not cover damages fomr a bad batch of petro either!

oh it' cute!
but when you talk to the manufacturers it's a different story. "if you use it, it will gum up your block,it will glaze your injectors". in essence, "don't use it"! older systems can't take the BIO in the rubber parts, just like you can't use the alky in a boat system, it will turn your fuel system to jelly. it sounds good but it means the same old thing, you have to buy all new, at 45K+ you still can't use 100% Biodiesel. and if you can't use 100% what is the use? you are still at the mercy of the refineries. with 100% bio you could, if you wanted to, make it at home. cherish the thought, that the average man could be free of the oil empires!
i wrote the injector company Stanadyne, they make the system for GM. the answer was one of shear panic, oh no, it will destroy the injection sys! enough said, if the car companies and refineries can'keep their hand in our wallet, it's BAD for the american public!
enough said, prove me wrong.
