A 20-year veteran of Madison, Wisconsin radio, talk show host Sly - Madison’s Mid-day Maverick, is promoting E85 to and from the Democratic National Convention. Sly is blogging his experience daily.
“People that know nothing about E85 chant that ridiculous slogan ‘No Food for Fuel’,” Sly said. “Seems to me that America has the space, energy, and talent to grow food and fuel responsibly and hopefully inthe process never have to go back to the Persian Gulf for our sustainability.”
Sly drove from Madison to Denver in his Chevy Suburban fueling up with E85 on the way. “My first fill-up was at Zarco 66. . . . This was the Rosetta Stone of gas stations. Not only did they have E85 but every other possible boutique fuel, even bio-diesel. I even used their environmentally conscience car wash, they probably don’t see many Suburbans venture through there. Again the fuel was much cheaper than standard petroleum. The E85 website has been a big help finding these great stations. Most of them are convenient to the interstates or major highways.”
Sly’s daily blog can be found at http://slystriptodenver.blogspot.com/. His radio show can be heard week days from 10 a.m. - 2p.m. on Madison 1670 The Pulse.

Hi,
I am new to this blog and will be creating a profile soon. Our product is fuel transformer that increases the efficiency of all hydrocarbon fuels. Of particular interest is the fact that it keeps these alternative blends from phasing or separating. Our 3 year goal is to get enough momentum to reduce global carbon emissions by at least 5%. Its a lofty goal but with a product that works this well and the alliances of thought leaders we can do it.
Thanks
James

The fact that this moron (Sly) owns a suburban proves that he IS the problem not the solution.

Corny:
From what I understand Sly’s had a bunch of broadcast equipment to take along with him. Maybe it wouldn’t fit in a Volkswagon. Just my 2 cents.

Although I do not believe ethanol is the only solution for our energy crisis, it is a major step in the right directions. With all this talk about off-shore drilling and our increasing reliance on imported oil from the Middle East, its nice that Sly is supporting Wisconsin farmers. The blog they are referring to is not only about E-85 either, there is some great videos and pictures from the Democratic National Convention. Sly has an interesting take on the Convention as a whole, not just some run of the mill, boring commentary.
