Unless we continue to develop all means of producing ethanol and offer subsidies to overcome big oil's prevention of the installation of ethanol pumping equipment at gasoline stations, we will not be able to see ethanol reduce our dependence on gasoline. We must pressure all of our Representatives to get this done.

Drop subsidies to ethanol? Why don't we hear anything about dropping subsidies to oil and gasoline? What about dropping subsidies to natural gas?

If McCain is going to drop subsidies for ethanol, let's make it a level playing field and hear him say that he is in favor of removing subsidies for all alternative energy? Who is paying McCain for saying he wants to drop subsidies to ethanol? Who is it that competes against ethanol and has a great deal to lose if ethanol continues to be successful and lower the cost of fuel to consumers. Could it be that big oil is behind McCain? Who else could it be? As they say, to know the truth, follow the money trail!

Ethanol is now non-PC. Big Oil financed some shoddy "studies," and got it published in "Science" journals, and ethanol responded writing articles on the internet.

"Wake Up," and get in the game. You need money to respond "in kind."

Get a check-off program going. Buy your own studies. The Saudis "Own" NewsCorp, get after CNN.

You're going up against Exxon, and the Sauds with a slingshot, and a BB gun.

1/10th of one penny/gallon could get you back in the game. Get Busy.

Subsidizing farmers for not growing energy crops on 34 million acres should of been the point that both Senators should have made. We spend billions of taxpayers money to pay farmers NOT to do the business that they did prior to the crude oil era - by providing renewable energy to run the transportation sector. Farmers today are a whole lot more efficient in producing grain and cellulose to produce "horsepower".
