I like ethanol, but for Michigan this may not have been a smart move. But, we have a conundrum in Michigan, as Governor is a smart ex lawyer and actor full of Canadian Socialism idealism. Wow, can it get any worse for the state in need of change? Yes, it can as she very attractive and has full support of media.

Not much money in ethanol for long time and other states well positioned within climate to produce more. We have a little wind energy off Great lakes, no solar, and not very competitive in ethanol. So guess what our Governor is spending valuable resources on?

This state's economy would turn on a dime if enacting the opposite polarity. Make the state a low tax, small gov't, low welfare benefit state. Make the state like other states an Open Union state, meaning not mandatory to join union. Take as much support away from public schools and colleges and instead demand lower cost and performance. We need not build any Roman style complexes full of hate full union educators. Award money to lowest cost educators with success. Award incentives to teachers who utilize open market solutions. Forget public ed, a horrible institution.

The state should come right out and exclaim goal to become the best environment for business and manufacturing. Starting with nations lowest cost taxes and utilities all the while decreasing or eliminating pollution. Do this by not only by technology but by common sense regulations. Make Michigan the MECCA of U.S. manufacturing, first by low cost nuclear electric, to attract the metals industry.
