In india  we cannot use other than Jatropha/Karanj feedstocks.Feedstocks used in Europe and USA are soyabeen and peanut oil. These cannot be used in india. These are used as edibleoil feedstocks.Edibleoil is short supply in india.
If Jatropha is used , still wasteland avialable is in  small patches.Yield from Jatropha is about 0.5 Kg per plant. Further Oil yield is 25% from seeds.This may/will cause Jatropha as a feedstock unviable for the crude price below 100$ per barrel</description>
