Ethanol is doing a Great Job. It DID NOT replace 364 Million Barrels of oil. Figuring a 20% loss of mileage, it DID replace something in the range of 190 Million Barrels of Gasoline. That is approx. 520,000 Barrels of Gasoline/Day that we didn't have to Import At today's production of approx. 12 Billion Gal/Yr we're not importing somewhere around 620,000 Barrels of Gasoline/Day, which is $16 Billion, or so, that we're Not shipping off to foreign countries every year. The Ethanol Story is Good Enough. He shouldn't embellish the facts. We just spend all of our time trying to defend his indefensible statements instead of talking about the correct ones.
